FAQ

FAQ

How big is your machine?
Our machine bed is 2500mm x 1300mm.

What is the maximum size of parts that can be cut on a standard sized sheet?
Standard sheet materials are 1220 x 2440mm, when you allow for blade thicknesses in cuts this gives you a maximum profile cut of W:1210mm L:2430mm. This is not to say we can’t cut right to the edge with some shapes, using the full width and length of the sheet @ 1220 x 2440mm.

Can you source material for me?
Yes, we have links with sustainable suppliers and we stock some material. There may be a lead time to get particular materials that we do not stock.

Can I supply my own material?
Yes.

How precise is your CNC machine?
Up to 0.1mm.

What is your smallest tool?
The smallest machine tool is 3mm – this gives a 3mm radius on the cuts.

How thick can the part be?
Up to 30mm is standard. The machine allows more but this should be discussed on a cut by cut basis.

Do you engrave?
Yes.

How do I pay for the CNC service?
Once your quote has been agreed you will receive a pro forma invoice which you can pay by bank transfer.

Do you design?
Yes. Our background is in design through 19MIL. We can supply a design service along with several other services involved in the end to end process.

Can we keep offcuts?
Yes the sheet material is yours. If there are unwanted offcuts we look to recycle them by offering them to community projects, creating useful objects with unused material or disposing of them sustainably.

Do you do 3D printing?
No but we do have links to 3D printing and can point you in the right direction.
