SUSTAINABILITY

Environmental sustainability is very important to us at Brixton CNC. The energy used to power our machine, other tools & even our office computers is derived from 100% green energy suppliers.

SUPPLIERS

MATERIALS If we are sourcing materials for your project we do so from our list of suppliers whose sustainability practices have been vetted by us and certified by relevant industry environmental watchdogs and certification bodies.

DELIVERY If we are delivering your finished product we will employ a green delivery service that uses zero emissions transport and carbon offsetting practices if fossil fuels are unavoidable. For deliveries in and around London we’re proud to use the services of art and interior delivery specialsts Zhero , their expert team and fleet of zero emissions vehicles ensure you receive your finished peices in perfect condition.

If you require any specific information on the practices of our suppliers we are more than happy to provide this on request.

WASTE REDUCTION

In a further effort to reduce our waste, unwanted off-cuts are used in several ways:

1. If the piece is large enough we create unique sustainable products that are available on our designs page.

2. We donate materials that aren’t being used to others for their own projects, either listed here or you’re able to pop in to our workshop to have a look for yourself.

3. Anything we’re not able to recycle directly on site is collected by our waste recycling supplier. Information on what happens to this once it has left us can be provided upon enquiry.
